OfferZen is SA's best developer job marketplace — and unlike LinkedIn, it works in your favour. Companies browse developer profiles and send you interview requests. You don't apply; they approach you. But only if your profile is strong.
The most important section: your bio
Your bio is the first thing companies read. It should be 3–4 sentences: who you are, what you build, what you're looking for, and what makes you different. Be specific. 'Full-stack developer with a passion for clean code' tells a recruiter nothing. 'Full-stack developer with 2 shipped projects in React and Node.js, looking for a junior role in fintech or e-commerce' tells them everything.
Skills: add everything, weight it honestly
OfferZen lets you rate your skills. Don't inflate them — companies will test you, and misrepresentation destroys trust instantly. But don't undersell either. If you've built 3 React projects, you're not a beginner.
Projects: live links only
Every project on your OfferZen profile should have a live URL. If it's not deployed, it doesn't count. Add a one-sentence description of the problem it solves, not the tech stack it uses.
"I updated my OfferZen profile on a Tuesday. By Thursday, I had 4 interview requests. The difference was the bio rewrite and adding live project links."
